Castle Lager Ad hits the hot spot!!!
The new Castle Lager television advert is spot-on. It reminds one of the great times during the African Cup of Nations in 1996. The use of the "shibobo" song is relevant and very nostalgic. Those who witnessed 1996 will through hearing this tune realise that it is possible for Bafana Bafana to make us proud. We just need to prepare our braais and drinks to have a month of fun and celebration. The advert compels us to be ready for the throngs of fans descending to our beautiful land. It says, South African must unite in one spirit to make the 2010 FIFA World Cup a success. Indeed an opportunity to create a different and very creative advert would always be there. But this one works too...
totally agree, that ad made me feel like celebratin!
ReplyDeletehowever it's going to take more than an advert to unite us for Bafana Bafana!
in 1996 S.A was bursting with possibilities, a new era in politics was enough to energize all of us South Africans to believe we were a triumphant nation having come out of white opression. Today we stand a broken nation with too many insiginficant issues that continue deviding and breaking the South African spirit that once was.
True, Bafana has a chance if we once again are a strong united nation and we have faith in them as we did the rugby world cup 2007.
united we stand, devided we fall...looking forward to ads from your agency that promote South African unity and the dignity of the Mandela reign!
